Bolangir: The mutilated bodies of two women were recovered on the railway track near Kukudahada village in the Kantabanji block of Bolangir district on Friday.
However, the identities of the deceased have yet to be established, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear.
One woman’s body was found on the railway track with her legs missing, while the other was located on the side of the track. It is still unresolved whether the women were struck by trains while crossing the railway line or if they were murdered. Local residents suspect that the women may have been victims of foul play.
According to the latest report, Government Railway Police (GRP) had not yet at the scene to conduct an investigation, after four hours had elapsed.
