Kandhamal: One person was killed while six others sustained critical injuries in two separate road mishaps in Kandhamal district on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the first incident took place after a head-on collision between a motorbike and auto-rickshaw at Paburia near Bariguda in the district. Following this, one Tarudatta Behera died on the spot while three others were critically injured.
In another incident, three youths sustained grievous injuries after the motorcycle they were riding hit a guard wall near Gadasila Ghat in the district.
According to sources, the incident took place while the trio was heading towards Raikia. Unfortunately, the driver lost control over it hit the guard wall.
They were later rescued and admitted them to a nearby hospital.
