Odisha’s music fraternity is in mourning following the untimely demise of popular playback singer Humane Sagar.
The 36-year-old artist, celebrated for his powerful voice and emotional renditions, passed away on November 17 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar while undergoing treatment for multiple health complications.

Sagar was admitted to the hospital on November 14 after his condition deteriorated rapidly. Doctors diagnosed him with multiorgan dysfunction syndrome, chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and dilated cardiomyopathy with severe left ventricular systolic dysfunction. Despite intensive care and ventilator support, his health continued to decline.
Rising to fame after winning Voice of Odisha in 2012, Humane Sagar made his playback debut in 2015 with the title track of Ishq Tu Hi Tu. Over the years, he became a household name with hit albums like Tuma Otha Tale, Niswasa, Bekhudee, and Chehera. He also ventured into Hindi music with his album Mera Yeh Jahan.
His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in Odia cinema and music, with fans and colleagues remembering him as a voice that defined a generation.
