Mumbai: The Maharashtra state government has officially released the invitation card for the swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister.
The grand event is scheduled to take place on December 5 at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, marking Fadnavis’ return to the top post.
The invitation card, which prominently features Devendra Fadnavis’ name as the Chief Minister, has been sent to a host of dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other key political figures. The ceremony is expected to be a high-profile affair, with leaders from across the political spectrum and various sectors in attendance.
Fadnavis, who previously served as the Chief Minister from 2014 to 2019, was unanimously elected as the Leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party earlier this week. His election comes after the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition secured a decisive victory in the recent state assembly elections, winning 235 out of 288 seats.
The swearing-in ceremony will be officiated by Governor CP Radhakrishnan, who will administer the oath of office to Fadnavis. The event is set to begin at 5 PM and will be followed by a public address by the newly sworn-in Chief Minister.
