The cold wave gripping Odisha has weakened marginally, with the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasting no significant change in night temperatures over the next four days.
In western and northern Odisha, minimum temperatures are likely to stay between 9°C and 13°C, with colder conditions expected in Phulbani, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda. Coastal districts will see minimums between 14°C and 18°C, followed by a gradual rise of 2-3°C over the next 2-3 days.
Light to moderate morning fog is likely over the next three days in parts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal districts.
On Saturday, the state’s highest temperature was recorded at 31.6°C in Paralakhemundi and the lowest at 8.5°C in Rourkela. The hilly area of G. Udayagiri registered 5.7°C. In Bhubaneswar, the maximum temperature was 30.6°C and the minimum 14.5°C, with light morning fog observed.
