In the past 24 hours, the impact of cold has diminished across various districts, with the lowest temperature recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius in G. Udayagiri, Kandhamal district.
According to forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Centre, dense fog was observed in Khordha, Angul, and Chhatrapur, while light fog appeared in Koraput, Gopalpur, and Bhawanipatna. A dense fog warning was issued for Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Jagatsinghpur districts on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, a yellow warning for dense fog remains in place for Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts. Additionally, light fog is anticipated in neighboring districts of those under warning throughout the week.
Residents are advised to exercise caution while traveling, especially in the early mornings, due to reduced visibility from fog. The stable dry weather pattern is attributed to prevailing atmospheric conditions, with no major shifts expected in the immediate forecast period.
