The Odisha Women and Child Development (WCD) Department hosted a workshop on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) for officials of the State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar.
The aim of the workshop was to strengthen awareness and promote a safe, respectful work environment.
Resource persons Sneh Sharma and Mansi Padhi conducted detailed presentations on the provisions, implementation, and significance of the POSH Act. They emphasised the importance of fostering a workplace culture based on dignity, equality, and mutual respect.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Mrinalini Darswal, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department. She highlighted the growing importance of the POSH Act within the administrative framework and stressed that providing a safe workplace is both a legal obligation and a moral responsibility, especially in a progressive state like Odisha.

Officials actively participated in the workshop, engaging in discussions and sharing their perspectives on workplace ethics and grievance redressal mechanisms.
The workshop concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to uphold the principles of safety, inclusivity, and gender sensitivity in the workplace.
