The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) announced that the 110th birth anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik will be celebrated across Odisha on March 5 with joy and enthusiasm.
At a press conference held at Shankha Bhawan, senior leaders, including Debi Prasad Mishra, Chandra Ashok Panda, Sushant Kumar Rout, Ananta Narayan Jena, Chinmaya Sahu, and Ipsita Sahu, shared details of the programmes. They confirmed that under the direction of party president Naveen Patnaik, instructions have been issued to all district presidents and Assembly constituency leaders to organise events statewide.
On the day, floral tributes will be offered at statues of Biju Patnaik, patriotic songs will be sung, and a discussion meeting will highlight his role in building a prosperous Odisha. Blood donation camps will also be organised at various locations. The BJD headquarters will host a central programme attended by party president Naveen Patnaik.
Ashok Chandra Panda emphasised that Biju Jayanti is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm, reflecting the ideals of service and dedication upheld by the BJD. He said party leaders and workers will pledge to continue serving the people while remembering Biju Patnaik’s legacy.
