Odisha is set to host ODISHA TEX 2025, the biggest textile investment event in Eastern India, on July 25, 2025, at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate this landmark event, being organised by the Government of Odisha, that aims to establish the state as a premier hub for textiles, apparel, and technical textiles.

The summit will bring together over 300 delegates from key textile hubs like Tirupur, Bengaluru, Surat, NCR, Punjab, and West Bengal, including industry leaders, global brands, manufacturers, startups, and young professionals.

ODISHA TEX 2025 will serve as a dynamic platform to explore investment opportunities in apparel, technical textiles, footwear, accessories, and luggage manufacturing. Significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and major investment announcements are anticipated, strengthening Odisha’s textile ecosystem. The event will also mark the launch of six new textile, apparel, and wearable parks with world-class infrastructure, signalling Odisha’s ambition to become the Textile Capital of India by 2030.

Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, stated:

This platform will attract leading textile players to Odisha, creating significant employment opportunities for our youth. With progressive policies and a skilled workforce, textiles will drive industrial growth, women’s empowerment, and rural transformation.

FICCI, the industry partner, is ensuring broad representation by engaging sectoral associations across fibre, textiles, apparel, and hosiery. Building on the success of Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, which secured Rs 7,762 crore in textile investments and 88,000 jobs, ODISHA TEX 2025 reinforces Odisha’s investor-friendly policies under the Amended Odisha Apparel and Technical Textiles Policy (OATTP)-2022.

The event highlights Odisha’s shift toward diversified industrial growth, aligning with the national vision of Purvodaya Bharat. By fostering innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships, ODISHA TEX 2025 positions Odisha as a competitive player in India’s textile industry, promising economic growth and job creation across the region.
