The Odisha government has officially rolled out the ‘Shishu Vatika’ programme across schools, aiming to provide a structured and engaging learning environment for young children beginning their education journey.
Aligned with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the initiative seeks to enhance early childhood education across the state.
To make the first day of school memorable and encourage early learning engagement, the government organized ‘Prabesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadi Chhuan’ on Wednesday, welcoming children with special activities.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the importance of collective efforts in shaping a bright future for children.
“We are committed to providing quality education. The implementation of NEP 2020 and the launch of Shishu Vatika will ensure a strong foundation for students. Special initiatives like Prabesh Utsav and Khadi Chhuan have been introduced to encourage learning,” he stated.
The Shishu Vatika programme is expected to play a vital role in building a modern, self-reliant, and empowered future for children in Odisha by strengthening early education and creating a nurturing school environment.
