Odisha SRC issued advisory after IMD predicted rise in maximum temperature by 3 to 5 degree Celsius over the next four to five days.

The temperature is very likely to increase further to about 40 degree C in 6 districts of Odisha- Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir.

Principal Secretary Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra confirmed that the guidelines issued on May 6, 2024, remain effective amid ongoing deliberations over complex legal issues. Departments and Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) have been instructed to strictly adhere to the existing framework to ensure uniformity.
