The first meeting of the High-Power Committee (HPC) on SIDBI Cluster Development Fund (SCDF) and Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) for FY 2024-25 was chaired by Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, at the Lokaseva Bhavan on March 18, 2025.
The meeting, attended by senior officials from various departments, focused on the status of ongoing projects under SCDF, proposed new projects, and identified activities eligible for UIDF support. Departments were urged to expedite project implementation and submit reimbursement claims promptly to the Finance Department.
Two key projects were approved for funding under SCDF: a 10 MLD CETP and a 30 MLD Deep Sea Discharge project, both in Paradeep, with a combined cost of ₹335.77 crores. Additionally, a groundbreaking initiative—the Gopalpur Common Utility Corridor—was announced, with a project cost of ₹173.02 crores. This corridor, the first of its kind in Odisha, will serve industries in the Gopalpur Industrial Park.
Departments have been advised to identify further infrastructure projects for potential funding under UIDF to bolster urban development across the state.
