The Odisha government has announced a major recruitment initiative to fill 22,896 Group C posts across 10 key departments.
The Chief Secretary has directed all concerned officials to complete the recruitment process by August 31, 2025.
This move comes in response to the alarming number of vacancies—44,909 in total—currently lying unfilled across various departments. The School and Mass Education Department leads with 8,358 vacancies, followed by the Panchayati Raj Department with 4,042 and the Health Department with 3,677.
The General Administration Department has initiated the process by sending official letters to all departments, seeking updated vacancy data. Departments such as Health, Home, Agriculture, and School & Mass Education are expected to see significant hiring activity.
This recruitment drive is part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen public service delivery and reduce administrative bottlenecks caused by staff shortages.
