The Odisha government has set March 31 as the final date to submit applications for the Subhadra Yojana scheme, aimed at empowering women in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida made the official announcement, emphasizing the significance of the initiative.
Eligible applicants who submit their applications by the deadline will receive a financial benefit of Rs 15,000, disbursed in three instalments. The first instalment is scheduled for March 6, coinciding with the celebration of Rakhi Purnima, a culturally significant festival.
Launched on September 17, 2024, the Subhadra Yojana has already surpassed its target of benefiting over one crore women within just eight months. As Odisha prepares to mark International Women’s Day on March 8, the second instalment of the scheme will be distributed, reinforcing the government’s commitment to women empowerment.
Deputy CM Parida expressed gratitude to district collectors, departmental teams, and grassroots workers for their instrumental role in achieving this milestone. The Subhadra Yojana underscores the state government’s dedication to providing tangible financial support and uplifting the lives of women across Odisha.
