In a significant administrative shake-up, the Odisha government has announced the transfer and reassignment of 11 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers across various departments.
The reshuffle, carried out by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, aims to enhance governance and streamline operations.
Following OAS officers have been transferred and given new postings:
1. Lopamudra Mohanty, OAS (SAG), the former Registrar at OUAT, Bhubaneswar, has now joined the GA & PG Department as Additional Secretary to the Government in the School and Mass Education Development.
2. Santi Sudha Patra, OAS (5), former Registrar of Khallikote Unitary University in Berhampur, has now joined the GA & PG Department and is posted as Joint Secretary to the Government in the Higher Education Department.
3. Jyotshnarani Sahoo, GAS (S), Formerly Tahasildar of Maneswar, Sambalpur, has joined the GA & PG Department and is now posted as Project Director, DUDA, Sundargarh.
4. Lalatendu Si, OAS Gr.A (SB), Former Sub Collector of Birmaharajpur, Subarnapur, is transferred and appointed as the Special Officer for the Land Acquisition for the Subarnarekha Irrigation Project in Laxmiposhi, Baripada.
5. Surendra Meher, GAS Gr.A (SB), previously the Additional Sub-Collector of Subarnapur, is transferred and appointed as the Sub-Collector of Birmaharajpur, Subarnapur.
By the powers conferred under Sub-Section 4 of Section 14 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, he is also appointed as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Birmaharajpur in Subarnapur district.
6. Eliza Mishra, GAS Gr. A (SB), serving as Deputy Secretary at the Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cuttack, is transferred and appointed as the Administrative Officer at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (Sishu Bhawan), Cuttack, by order of the Governor.
7. Anuj Kumar Das Pattanaik, OAS (SS), Former State Nodal Officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan, is now transferred and appointed as the Director of Information & Public Relations.
8. Surendra Kumar Panda, OAS (SS), Special Secretary to the Government in the Health and Family Welfare Department, is transferred and appointed as the State Nodal Officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan under foreign service terms and conditions.
9. Mitali Patra, OAS Gr.A (SB), Former Tahasildar of Tangi, Khordha, has joined the GA & PG Department and is now posted as the Administrative Officer at the office of the Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer, Baripada, Mayurbhanj.
10. Ajaya Kumar Pradhan, OAS Gr.A (SB), currently serving as a Personal Assistant at ITDA, Gunupur, will continue in the same role and will not be transferred to ITDA, Rayagada, as previously announced in the GA & PG Department Notification No.36014/SCS dated 28.11.2024, which has been cancelled.
11. Yudhistir Meher, OAS Gr. A (S13), BDO of Boudh, is transferred and appointed as the Registrar of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) in Sarang under foreign service terms and conditions.
These administrative changes come as part of the state’s broader efforts to enhance governance and efficiency.
