The Odisha government has approved the formation of the Second Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) Battalion.
The expansion introduces 972 new posts across various ranks, strengthening protection for State Government entities like Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) and State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
To support operations effectively, an additional 68 personnel will be engaged through outsourcing. The decision reflects the government’s commitment to securing critical industrial assets, mitigating security risks, and ensuring the smooth functioning of key enterprises.
Officials highlight that the new battalion will significantly enhance security protocols for Odisha’s growing industrial sector, reinforcing the safety of both infrastructure and personnel.
