The Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Government of Odisha, has announced that the Aadhaar-based e-KYC process for beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) will continue across the state until December 31, 2025.
According to the official release, the e-KYC verification process is being conducted at all 11,827 Fair Price Shops (FPS) and Ration Card Management Centres operating in 314 blocks and 64 urban local body offices across Odisha.
Importantly, the department has clarified that beneficiaries who have not yet completed the e-KYC process will continue to receive their entitled Public Distribution System (PDS) commodities every month as usual. No eligible beneficiary will be denied food security benefits due to non-completion of e-KYC.
The department further informed that beneficiaries who have not yet completed e-KYC can visit their nearest Fair Price Shop or Ration Card Management Centre with their Aadhaar card to complete the verification before December 31, 2025.
The government urged all beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC at the earliest to ensure seamless service delivery under the food security schemes.
