The two-day CSR and Sustainability Conclave 2025 was inaugurated today by Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, at the Odisha State Convention Hall.

This event, aimed at showcasing CSR-funded innovations, fostering cross-sector collaborations, and facilitating memorandums of understanding, is a joint initiative by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, in partnership with the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) and the Odisha Government’s Energy Department. The conclave’s theme, “Inclusive Growth through Technology, Energy and CSR Advancement,” underscores the role of sustainable technologies in driving social progress.

Addressing stakeholders, policymakers, and startup founders, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo highlighted Odisha’s transformative phase in the energy sector. “Today, Odisha stands at a pivotal moment of change in the energy domain. We are empowering an inclusive Odisha through sustainable technologies,” he stated. He emphasised that CSR-led innovations will deliver affordable, adaptable solutions tailored to Indian realities, ensuring broader accessibility and impact.

Odisha’s Chief Secretary, Shri Manoj Ahuja, outlined the conclave’s objectives, noting that it seeks to catalyse social change, encourage partnerships, and promote robust monitoring of social impact programs via technology. The event featured addresses from notable dignitaries, including Mizoram’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Smt. P. Lalrinpuii, Maharashtra’s State Minister Smt. Meghana S. Bordikar, Managing Director of BIRAC, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, and Odisha’s Principal Secretary for Energy, Shri Vishal Kumar Dev. Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, Chairman of BCKIC, delivered the welcome address, while CEO Dr. Namrata Mishra extended the vote of thanks.

The conclave unites corporates, NGOs, policymakers, and government representatives to discuss leveraging technology for social advancement, with a special focus on inclusive development and rural transformation. Key sessions include panel discussions, leadership forums, a policymakers’ roundtable on enabling ecosystems for technology-led inclusive growth, a startup showcase on innovations for inclusion and high-tech change, an industry leadership forum on green growth and corporate stewardship for a sustainable economy, and explorations of emerging technologies for a resilient future.

A highlight of the event was the inauguration of an exhibition featuring 50 groundbreaking innovations by the Deputy Chief Minister and other dignitaries, showcasing visionary ideas poised to drive sustainable development.

This conclave represents a significant step toward integrating CSR efforts with technological advancements, paving the way for equitable growth in Odisha and beyond.
