In Malkangiri district, Odisha, Dr. Amit Kumar Sahu, an Ayurveda practitioner from Motu, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a woman under the pretense of marriage.
According to the police complaint, Dr. Sahu assured the local woman of marriage, leading to an intimate relationship. However, he later returned to his native village and married another woman, leaving the complainant distressed.
Following her complaint, a police team led by Malkangiri IIC Rigan Kindo tracked Dr. Sahu to Sambalpur, where he was apprehended and brought back to Malkangiri. He has been produced in court as legal proceedings commence to investigate the allegations.
