In a determined effort to position Odisha as a leading industrial hub, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi embarked on a strategic two-day visit to New Delhi. The visit was marked by substantial developments, securing investments worth ₹30,595 crore and generating opportunities for approximately 48,390 jobs.
Day one saw the Chief Minister engaging with industry leaders, including HCL Technologies Chairperson Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, at the company’s Mega IT Campus in Noida. Discussions revolved around expanding HCL’s footprint in Odisha while exploring innovations in AI, IoT, and IT advancements.
Following these interactions, one-on-one meetings with captains from leading industries such as Kiri Industries, Himadri Specialty Chemical Ltd., and Ruchi Soya Foods Ltd., among others, resulted in investment intents worth ₹3,000 crore and MoUs valued at ₹27,595 crore.
The second day promises to be equally eventful with the signing of key MoUs with IOCL, ISPRL, and Petronet LNG for transformative projects in the petrochemical sector. These endeavours reinforce Odisha’s commitment to fostering industrial growth and building a technology-driven economy.
The visit not only highlights Odisha’s proactive industrial policies but also its dedication to youth employment and sustainable development.
