Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday to discuss the development of railway infrastructure in the state, a move aimed at accelerating economic growth and improving connectivity.

The meeting, which took place in New Delhi, comes as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its transportation network, a critical driver for industrial and regional development.

During the meeting, CM Majhi emphasised the importance of railway infrastructure for Odisha’s progress. In a statement released via the CMO’s official X handle (@CMO_Odisha), Majhi expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting, “We discussed key initiatives to bolster Odisha’s railway infrastructure, which will pave the way for greater economic opportunities and connectivity.”
