Odisha’s Chief Secretary, Manoj Ahuja, visited Puri on Sunday, June 15, to oversee the ongoing chariot construction for the world-renowned Rath Yatra at the Ratha Khala, located near the Shree Jagannath Temple.
Welcomed by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Chief Secy Ahuja conducted a detailed review of the construction progress, engaging in discussions with the Maharana sevaks (artisans) responsible for crafting the iconic chariots.
He praised their dedication and craftsmanship, emphasising the cultural and spiritual significance of their work.
Senior officials of SJTA accompanied the Chief Secretary during the visit, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the preparations for the annual festival.
The Rath Yatra, a hallmark of Odisha’s heritage, draws millions of devotees globally, and such inspections underscore the state’s commitment to its flawless execution.
