Odisha Budget Review Meeting: Chief Secretary Chairs High-Level Session

Chief Secretary Anu Garg chaired a secretary-level review meeting today at Kharavela Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.


Focus of the Meeting

The meeting assessed the state’s financial position and reviewed the expenditure progress of the 2025–26 budget up to the end of February 2026. Departments were instructed to utilise budget allocations within the current fiscal year and prepare for the effective implementation of new schemes and programs proposed for 2026–27.

Key Directives

The Chief Secretary emphasised timely spending in line with approved allocations and urged departments to focus on readiness for upcoming projects. She highlighted the importance of efficiency and accountability in financial management to ensure the smooth execution of development initiatives.

Attendees

Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, along with other Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioners, and Secretaries from various departments, attended the meeting.
