The mortal remains of emerging Ollywood singer Humane Sagar were given an emotional and tearful farewell by countless fans in his birthplace, Titlagarh town. The 36-year-old artist, who passed away prematurely, had carved a unique niche in the music world from a young age.
On Tuesday afternoon, Sagar’s mortal remains arrived in Titlagarh, where over a hundred admirers had gathered at the town’s outskirts. Chanting “Humane Sagar Amar Rahe” (Human Sagar shall remain immortal), they formed a massive rally to escort the remains to his residence. The area around his home witnessed an overwhelming crowd, reflecting the deep affection and admiration fans held for the singer.

Residents of Titlagarh, along with people from nearby regions, thronged to pay their last respects. Following Christian traditions, Pastor Jyoti Ranjan Paik from the local CNI Church visited the residence to offer prayers.
Subsequently, the body was taken in a grand procession around the town before reaching Nehru Nagar Church. After a prayer service there, the mortal remains were laid to rest in the cemetery as per Christian rites.

Sagar had been battling liver-related issues and multiple ailments in recent days. He was initially admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack, but his deteriorating condition led to his transfer to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment.
On the directive of the Chief Minister, a special medical team attended to him, with preparations even made for an airlift if needed. Tragically, he succumbed during the course of treatment.
Sagar’s untimely demise has evoked profound grief across various circles.
