The Odisha Assembly witnessed chaotic scenes today as members of the Congress party clashed with police personnel during a heated protest.

Senior Congress leaders, including PCC President Bhakta Das, were detained along with five other key leaders while attempting to enter the Assembly premises.

The situation intensified as Congress workers staged demonstrations outside the Assembly, demanding access to their party legislators and criticizing the security measures.

Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra lambasted the government, alleging that democracy was crumbling under authoritarianism. “We want to ensure that our MLAs are safe,” remarked Yasir Nawaz, reflecting the party’s growing concerns.

Police action against the protestors sparked further outrage. Reports indicate that security personnel forcefully removed Congress workers from their sit-in near the Assembly gates.

Amid the commotion, Congress leaders were seen regrouping, vowing to continue their fight for justice and transparency within the government.

The political unrest sheds light on escalating tensions between the ruling party and the opposition in Odisha. The protests, marked by physical confrontations and arrests, reflect the deepening divisions within the state’s political landscape.

As of now, the situation remains volatile, with Congress leaders planning further demonstrations in response to today’s events. This incident adds fuel to the fire as political temperatures soar in the state.
