The Odisha Legislative Assembly today paid homage to the late Devendra Sharma, former MLA of Kendrapara district’s Aul constituency, who passed away on March 21 while undergoing treatment.


Expressions of sorrow and condolences poured in for his bereaved family.

The Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, initiated a condolence resolution, recalling the late leader’s contributions and expressing profound grief. Leaders across party lines, including Opposition Leader Prasanna Acharya and Congress Legislature Party Leader Ramachandra Kadam, supported the motion and shared their tributes.

The Speaker, Surama Padhy, also joined in remembering the departed leader, and the assembly observed a one-minute silence to pray for the eternal peace of his soul.

The late Devendra Sharma was a respected leader and will be fondly remembered for his contributions to the state.
