The Odisha Legislative Assembly was adjourned twice on Friday till 4 pm as the opposition continued to create a ruckus in the house.

Earlier, amid the huge uproar, the Speaker Smt Surama Padhy adjourned the house till 12.00 noon. Again she had to adjourn it as the opposition disrupted the proceedings again.

Soon after the House assembled on Friday for the day’s business, Opposition MLAs created a ruckus disrupting the proceedings. The BJD legislators attacked the government raking up the issue of the closure of mandis, while the Congress MLAs demanded a discussion on the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. MLAs of both parties jumped into the well of the House and created a ruckus.

As the Speaker Surama Padhy was unable to conduct the business of the House, she adjourned the Assembly proceedings till 4.00 pm.
