Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Naba Das urged Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan for supply of at least 25 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to the state.
In a letter to Dr Harsh Vardhan he said this will enable the government to ensure 2nd dose vaccination of people aged 45 years & above.
Worthwhile to mention that the shortfall in vaccine supply has severely hampered vaccination drive in the state. Vaccination sessions could not be conducted in more than 1100 sites each day in the recent past.
