Odisha celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by approving over 5,500 Village Action Plans under Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan.
Special Gram Sabhas convened across tribal regions to finalize development strategies. The initiative promotes inclusive and accountable governance at the grassroots level. Tribal communities actively participated in planning through discussions and mapping exercises. The programme aims to saturate essential services in remote villages.
🧭 Massive Outreach Across Odisha
Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan covers 7,623 villages in 213 blocks across 22 districts. Officials mobilized 1 lakh Aadi Saathis and 30,000 Aadi Sahyogis for implementation. Over 50 NGOs and CSOs joined the mission to support community engagement. On October 2, 6,255 Aadi Seva Kendras were inaugurated across the state. These centres will serve as hubs for service delivery and local coordination.
🏛️ Strengthening Tribal Governance
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched the Abhiyan under the Prime Minister’s leadership. The programme forms part of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. It reflects the values of Seva, Samarpan, and Sankalp in public service. Multi-departmental convergence ensures efficient delivery of government schemes. Tribal communities gain tools to shape their development journey independently.
