Bhubaneswar: The Office of the Chief Minister (CMO) today directed the administration of Puri and Nayagarh districts for speedy redressal of grievances received from the public during 5-T secretary VK Pandian’s visit to the districts.
During the visit to Puri and Nayagarh districts, 5-T secretary had received various grievances from the public. In this connection, Pandian informed the Chief Minister. A detailed discussion was held in this regard today by the Chief Minister’s office and a decision was taken to redress the grievances.
During the visit of the secretary to Puri, the public drew the attention of Pandian regarding land issue of Puri municipality. A policy decision was taken in the meeting to regularize the leases given by the Puri municipality as per the municipal rules and appropriate lease terms.
The district administration has been directed to complete the work within the stipulated period. The 5-T ordered to complete the necessary survey work within 20 days. It was decided in the meeting to provide additional revenue officers to the District Collector for the exercise.
Puri Municipality has leased around 504 acres of land to various institutions and people over the years. In this high-level meeting, it was decided in the meeting to fix appropriate fees on individuals and institutions for regularizing the allocated lease as per the appropriate lease terms and municipal rules.
The meeting also discussed the construction of a reservoir project on the Barttang river near Manjari village in Nayagarh district. The meeting decided to call tenders for the project immediately after obtaining environmental and other necessary approvals.
Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department Satyabrat Sahu and senior officers of various departments were present in this meeting.
