In a dramatic turn of events, law enforcement in Angul successfully conducted an encounter involving the infamous criminal Khirod Nayak.
The operation, which took place late at night near Kurudol Hanuman Vatika, left Nayak critically injured. Currently admitted to the district headquarters hospital, Nayak faces allegations linked to several police cases. During the attempted arrest, Nayak resisted by firing three rounds at the police. However, the team’s swift response ensured his capture. Reports indicate that Nayak tried to evade arrest by fleeing into a mango orchard in Kurudol Hanuman Batika.
