The Commissionerate Police have apprehended a notorious criminal, Sona alias Sk. Sona, while he was reportedly planning a crime near Ring Road Sector 9 in Cuttack.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team from Markat Nagar Police Station conducted a raid and nabbed Sona, who was found in an auto rickshaw bearing registration number OD-05-BX-4955.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, the police seized a country-made revolver, one live ammunition, two handmade bombs, and an explosive stick. “Sona has been involved in numerous criminal cases, including theft and robbery, across various police stations in Cuttack, the police said.
The police have charged Sona under multiple sections of the Arms Act and the Explosive Substances Act.
