The Chief Engineer of the State Water Resources Department today confirmed that there is no flood situation in Odisha.
According to the official, the Subarnarekha River is witnessing a declining water level, and there is currently no concern of a major flood in the state.
🌧 Rainfall and River Basin Update:
- No heavy rainfall was recorded in most basins.
- Sundargarh and Chhattisgarh witnessed isolated showers, but other regions remain dry.
- No flood alerts have been issued in any region.
🚪 Hirakud Dam Action Plan:
- In anticipation of excess inflow, six gates of the Hirakud Dam will be opened to regulate discharge.
👨💼 Administrative Vigilance:
- The state government and district administrations remain on standby to address any sudden weather changes.
- Preparedness measures are in place should there be further rainfall.
