The National Informatics Centre (NIC) Odisha has been conferred the prestigious “Digital Initiative for Ensuring Rural Connectivity and Digital Services Award” for its groundbreaking Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing Online Services (DEPMOS) project.
The award was presented today at the 6th Digital Transformation Summit and Awards, held at Hotel EROS, Nehru Place, New Delhi. The honour was received by Mohammed Mojibullah Khan, Director (IT), Sudhansu Kumar Mahapatra, Deputy Director (IT) from NIC Odisha, and Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Director, Export Promotion & Marketing (EP&M), Odisha.
DEPMOS is a flagship e-Governance initiative of the Government of Odisha, conceptualised, developed, and implemented by NIC Odisha for the Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing under the MSME Department. The platform digitises and streamlines critical services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including registration, rate contract management, and inspections.
By automating these processes, DEPMOS has significantly enhanced service delivery efficiency, reduced turnaround times, and brought greater transparency to government procurement and marketing support for MSMEs across the state. The project exemplifies how digital innovation can empower rural and small-scale enterprises while strengthening governance.
This national recognition underscores Odisha’s continued leadership in digital transformation and its commitment to leveraging technology for inclusive economic growth.
