Police have arrested a husband and his younger brother in connection with the suspicious death of a newlywed woman, barely two months after her marriage.
The deceased, identified as Sangeeta alias Kishori Pujari of Kamata village, was married on June 26 to Murali Manohar Golari of Bhaluguda village under Baipariguda block. Allegations from her family claim she was subjected to blackmail and harassment through secretly recorded videos and call recordings obtained via a child tracker app by her brother-in-law, Tara Prasad Golari.
According to the complaint, Kishori had confided to her family about being blackmailed with personal videos and said her husband failed to act despite being informed. On August 8, she was found dead at her in-laws’ house, allegedly hanged to make the incident appear as suicide. Her family accused her husband and in-laws of murder.
Police registered Case No. 267/2026 and, with the help of a scientific team, collected evidence from the scene. Following investigation, husband Murali Manohar Golari (31) and brother-in-law Tara Prasad Golari (29) were arrested and produced in court.
