Fans filled the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona with chants, flags, and songs that celebrated the Argentine legend’s unmatched legacy.
A video tribute played on the stadium’s big screens before kickoff. The announcer declared, “Napoli wants to remember you with a special video. Five years ago, the greatest of all time left us.” The crowd responded with thunderous chants of “Diego, Diego.”
In the 10th minute, symbolic of Maradona’s iconic shirt number, supporters sang in unison and waved scarves and jerseys. The atmosphere reflected the deep emotional bond between Maradona and the city of Naples.
