Taylor Swift continued her record-breaking trajectory, securing the coveted Video of the Year award for The Fate of Ophelia. Swift also picked up the inaugural Artist Director Honours for her visionary work behind the camera, further cementing her legacy in award show history.
Meanwhile, pop royalty Madonna owned the night by winning Artist of the Year alongside multiple honors for Confessions II — The Film, including Best Cinematography and Best Choreography. Marking her first VMA performance in 23 years, Madonna also teamed up with Sabrina Carpenter for a live rendition of their winning track, Bring Your Love, which took home Best Collaboration.

Global sensation BTS emerged as a major force, clinching Song of the Year for Swim as well as Best Group.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa delivered an emotional speech after winning Best Pop for Dream featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi, while her groupmate success further highlighted K-pop’s massive international dominance at the ceremony.
