World-renowned YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has married his longtime partner Thea Booysen in an intimate island ceremony. The content creator announced the news on social media by sharing the first pictures from the wedding and calling it the “best day” of his life.
Posting a series of photographs on Instagram, MrBeast wrote, “I found MrsBeast ❤️❤️❤️,” before adding that it was the best day of his life.
The wedding photos quickly went viral, drawing congratulatory messages from fans and fellow creators around the world.
An intimate celebration on a private island
The couple exchanged vows at Richard Branson’s Necker Island, where around 70 close friends and family members attended the week-long celebrations.
According to reports, the festivities began on July 14 and included activities such as snorkelling, kitesurfing and other island experiences before the wedding ceremony.
The newlyweds also shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ hit song “Die With a Smile.”
What the bride and groom wore
For the ceremony, Thea Booysen wore a white wedding gown designed by Nicole + Felicia Couture, while Jimmy Donaldson chose a classic tuxedo by Ralph Lauren.
Following the wedding, Thea also updated her name to Thea Donaldson.
How MrBeast and Thea Booysen met
The couple first met in 2022 when Donaldson visited South Africa, Booysen’s home country.
Speaking previously about their first meeting, Booysen said she was impressed by Donaldson’s personality and humility.
She recalled being surprised by how “down-to-earth” and intelligent he was, adding that he did not fit the stereotype she had expected of a major YouTube personality.
After meeting in person, the two stayed in touch through direct messages on X before beginning their relationship. They later made their first public appearance together at the Kids’ Choice Awards in April 2022.

Speaking about married life, Booysen said the wedding felt like a natural step in a relationship that had always been built with marriage in mind.
“It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality. Ever since we started dating, we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married,” she said.
She also praised Donaldson for ensuring that every guest felt welcome throughout the celebrations, calling the experience “incredibly special.”
