New Delhi: Motorola has launched the Moto G72 smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, Dolby Atmos support, dual microphones, 5000mAh battery with 33W charging, and runs on the Android 12 operating system out of the box. Further, the phone is IP52 rated for splash resistance.
Pricing and availability
The Moto G72 is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It comes in Meteorite Black and Polar Blue color options and will be available via Flipkart in India starting October 12, 2022. Launch offers include exchange discounts of up to Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 1,000 instant discounts from select banks. Customers will also get benefits worth Rs. 5,049 from Jio, Myntra, and Zee5.
Moto G72 specifications
Moto G72 features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2460 pixels) pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 576 Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and up to 1300nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 6nm chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC2, 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage. It also supports microSD cards via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Moto G72 sports a triple rear camera setup of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.45 aperture. It packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 33W turbo charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, NFC (region-specific), 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 160.5 x 74.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 170 grams.
