Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Amman on Monday and received a ceremonial welcome, underscoring the close ties between India and Jordan.
On arrival at the airport, Jordan’s Prime Minister, Dr Jafar Hassa,n personally greeted him, reflecting the warmth of bilateral relations.
Firstly, this visit marks the beginning of Modi’s three-nation tour covering Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman. Secondly, the trip holds historic significance as it is the first full-fledged bilateral visit to Jordan in 37 years. Moreover, the timing coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, adding symbolic weight to the occasion.
