In a dramatic turn of events, Union Minister Jual Oram reportedly went missing while travelling on the Gondwana Express from Delhi to Jabalpur on May 3.
After an extensive search operation by railway authorities, he was discovered injured aboard another train, the Sampark Kranti Express, at Sihora Road Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh.
Oram, who represents Odisha’s Sundargarh Lok Sabha Constituency, allegedly got off at Damoh Railway Station due to a drop in his blood sugar levels. While attempting to reboard the moving train, he slipped and sustained injuries. The confusion surrounding his disappearance was further intensified when his personal assistant mistakenly reported him missing from Hardua Railway Station, a stop where the train never halted.
Authorities found him injured after a three-hour search and provided first aid before shifting him to Jabalpur under tight security. The minister has not yet commented on the incident, but senior railway officials have confirmed the details.
