A minor girl was allegedly abducted by her boyfriend and three of his associates in Odisha’s Udala area while she was on her way to tuition, police said.
The incident took place on August 2, when the girl was forcibly taken to a nearby forest before her class began. The accused reportedly attempted to sexually assault her, but the girl managed to escape and later informed her family.
Police have assured that all efforts are being made to bring the remaining culprits to justice. An investigation is underway. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the boyfriend, Prajnasu Das Babu, while the others remain absconding. Prajnasu has been forwarded to the court.
