The Ministry of Steel will hold an Open House on steel import issues on February 2, 2026, at Netaji Nagar, New Delhi.

The session runs from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM in the Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3. Companies and associations can present concerns related to SIMS, SARAL SIMS, and QCO Exemption. Each organisation may nominate one representative.

To participate, organisations must email tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in by January 30, 2026, 6:00 PM. The email should include:

  • Company or association name
  • Issue category (SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO Exemption)
  • Participant’s name and designation
  • Reference of application, if any
  • Industry and product type (Auto, Aerospace, Telecom, Defence, etc.)
  • Issue summary (within 50 words)
  • Contact details (mobile and email)

Confirmed time slots will be shared via email. Walk-ins are not allowed due to logistical constraints.

This Open House creates a platform for industries to raise challenges in steel imports and compliance. The Ministry aims to streamline processes and ensure clarity for stakeholders. By addressing concerns directly, the initiative strengthens communication between government and industry.
