Missed Michael B. Jordan’s blockbuster Sinners in theatres? The critically acclaimed horror drama is all set for its OTT debut on JioHotstar on September 18, the platform confirmed in its latest release catalogue.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners features Jordan in a dual role as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return to their Mississippi hometown in 1932, hoping to escape their troubled past — only to confront an even greater evil. The film explores themes of race, redemption, and survival against the backdrop of the Jim Crow era.
The cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Released in April, the film became both a critical and commercial triumph, grossing over $366 million worldwide and earning praise from stars like Pedro Pascal and Tom Cruise. Jordan’s intense performance as the two brothers was widely lauded.
Following its theatrical run, Coogler thanked audiences in an emotional letter:
“We always had our minds on you, the audience, and felt a deep responsibility to entertain and move you. I believe in cinema and the theatrical experience — it is a necessary pillar of society.”
Now, fans can relive the film’s atmospheric horror and gripping performances from the comfort of their homes.
