The Odisha government has officially appointed Md Q.I. Ali as the Town and Regional Planning Member of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
This decision was made under clause (e) of sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Odisha Development Authorities Act, 1982, and takes immediate effect.
In addition to his new role at BDA, Md Q.I. Ali will assume additional responsibilities, including serving as the Planning Member of CDA, City Planner of CMC, Planning Member of TAMDA, Planning Member of KNDA, and Planning Member of PDA. Furthermore, the previous assignment of City Planner, BMC, to Md Q.I. Ali, under Order No.24733, dated November 25, 2024, has been withdrawn.
This appointment reflects the government’s confidence in Md Q.I. Ali’s expertise and capability to oversee and coordinate planning and development activities across multiple regions and authorities. The move is expected to bring about significant advancements in urban and regional planning within the state of Odisha.
