Filmmaker Anupam Patnaik announced that Mantra Muugdha will not release in January as initially planned, citing the need for more time to refine its extensive VFX and ambitious scale.
Patnaik explained that the team aims to push boundaries for Odia cinema and deliver a product that truly meets audience expectations. He emphasised that after the success of Pratikshya, Gangs of Puri, and Karma, the responsibility to raise the bar has grown stronger.
The filmmaker stated that rushing the process would compromise quality, and therefore, the team has chosen to delay the release. He assured fans that the new release date will be announced soon.
Patnaik described Mantra Muugdha as a film filled with thrills, magic, and unforgettable cinematic experiences. He highlighted the importance of shaping the project carefully to ensure it stands out as a milestone in Odia cinema.

The announcement has generated anticipation among audiences who eagerly await the film’s arrival. Patnaik’s decision reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation, reinforcing his reputation as a filmmaker determined to elevate regional cinema.
With Odia films gaining national attention in recent years, Mantra Muugdha is expected to showcase cutting-edge visual effects and storytelling. The delay signals a focus on quality over speed, a move welcomed by many in the industry.
Patnaik concluded by assuring viewers that the wait will be worthwhile, as Mantra Muugdha promises to deliver a cinematic journey unlike any other.
