The quiet neighborhood of Muslim Sahi in Cuttack’s Narsinghpur police jurisdiction was rocked by a bomb attack at the home of Sultan Mohammad.
The incident allegedly involved his son-in-law Abdul Mansur, alongside three accomplices.
Witnesses reported four individuals arriving on motorcycles before crude bombs were hurled at the residence, causing significant property damage. While no injuries occurred, the explosion shattered doors, window grills, and several household items, leaving the family shaken.
The attack appears to have stemmed from prolonged marital disputes between Abdul and Sultan’s daughter. She had returned to her parental home, citing allegations of torture and threats against her life. Sultan Mohammad reported these tensions, along with prior threats made by Abdul, as the possible motive behind the attack.
Police officers, led by Inspector Bhawani Khuntia, have initiated an investigation into the case. Forensic experts are expected to gather evidence, while search operations continue to locate the accused individuals.
Residents of Muslim Sahi, a locality known for its tranquility, remain in shock, questioning the escalation of personal disputes into acts of violence. Police urge the public to report any information that could assist in nabbing the culprits.
