Paris: Indian shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka have qualified for the bronze medal round in the skeet mixed team event at the Paris Olympics on Monday.
The Indian team scored a total of 146 in the qualifications and will compete against China for the bronze medal.
After the first stage of qualification, the Indian duo was tied for second place with a score of 49, alongside teams from Australia, Korea, France, and two Italian teams.
Anant Jeet Singh Naruka achieved a perfect score of 25/25 in the first round of qualifications, while Maheshwari Chauhan contributed 24/25 to India’s total score of 49.
In the second round, Maheshwari shot a perfect 25, but Naruka missed two shots in both the 2nd and 5th series, resulting in a score of 23 and an aggregate of 48.
For the third round, the Indian team scored 49, with Maheshwari shooting 25 and Naruka 24.
