The historic Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar resonated with devotional melodies as legendary singer Usha Uthup graced the Maha Shivratri celebrations.
The event, organized by cultural outfit Ekamra Sanskrutika Prakashani, featured a series of devotional programs, including performances by renowned vocalists Anuradha Paudwal and Usha Uthup.
The festivities commenced with traditional rituals such as Ram Charita Manas recitation, Veda Patha, Shiv Sahasra Nama, and Bhagwat Geeta Patha, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere at Ekamra Kshetra. Usha Uthup’s soulful rendition of bhajans captivated the audience, adding a unique charm to the sacred occasion.
In addition to the musical performances, Ekamra Sanskrutika Prakashani honored 21 individuals with the Ekamrashri Samman for their notable achievements in various fields. The temple authorities ensured the smooth conduct of the Maha Shivratri rituals, with the Maha Deepa being ceremoniously lifted to the temple’s pinnacle at 10 PM.
