Amir Hamza, a senior figure in the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organisation, has been hospitalised in Lahore after sustaining critical injuries under mysterious circumstances.
The 66-year-old is currently receiving treatment at a military hospital, guarded by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). This incident follows the recent killing of Abu Saifullah, another prominent Lashkar operative, raising questions about internal conflicts or targeted eliminations.
Hamza, designated a global terrorist by the US in 2012, has played a crucial role in LeT’s operations, propaganda, and recruitment efforts. His ties with Hafiz Saeed and Abdul Rehman Makki have positioned him as a key strategist within the group. As investigations into his injuries continue, analysts speculate on the potential implications for Lashkar’s leadership and Pakistan’s handling of militant activities.
